The coat redefines urban outerwear for those who want warmth without compromising elegance, offering a sleek alternative to bulky down jackets. It is both waterproof and cold-resistant, featuring WonderArmor's infrared-reflective technology, which retains body heat and ensures comfort even in temperatures as low as -10°C. The result is effortlessly warm, refined and unmistakably modern, a piece where function meets sophisticated design.

Challenge

The brief called for a coat that could perform in genuinely cold, wet conditions while retaining the sleek, tailored silhouette of a classic trench, rather than the bulk typically associated with cold-weather outerwear. This meant integrating advanced heat-retention and waterproofing technology without disrupting the coat's clean lines or elegant proportions.

Solution

I developed the infrared-reflective heat-retention technology used in the coat, later branded as Wonder Armor, drawing on a material combination similar to those used by the French army for cold-weather performance gear. This approach allowed the coat to retain body heat and perform down to -10°C without adding bulk, and I integrated the waterproofing and cold resistance into the design from the outset, keeping the sleek, tailored silhouette that defines the classic trench coat.
