The collection draws on an era defined by self-expression and unapologetic individuality, capturing a sense of absolute freedom through eclectic silhouettes, effortless layering and a rich palette of soft, sun-faded hues. Each look pays tribute to the transformative power of personal style - liberated, playful and endlessly expressive.

Challenge

Translating such a distinctive and emotionally charged era into a modern, ready-to-wear collection required striking a careful balance: capturing the free-spirited, bohemian character of the period authentically, without tipping into costume or pastiche, while still ensuring each piece felt relevant to a contemporary wardrobe.

Solution

I led the design team in developing eclectic silhouettes and layering techniques that echoed the era's spirit while remaining grounded in contemporary construction and wearability. The palette of soft, sun-faded hues was carefully developed to feel nostalgic rather than literal, and each piece was designed to work individually as well as part of the collection's broader narrative, giving the wearer the same sense of freedom and self-expression the era was known for.
